    The ideal solution would be to 4 track Marsh Lane to Thorpe Park and for the fasts to then take the HS2 route to Ulleskelf thereby overcoming the issue of stoppers standing on the fast lines at stations.

    Just as everyone is getting up to get off and is blocking the aisle, the Guard has to make their way from the rear cab to the door control position to operate the doors. Why wasn't door control from the cab part of the original specification?

    I presume the wait is while the guard undertakes their checks, gone are the days of slam door stock when passengers would open the doors before the train had stopped.

    The issue with the door operating buttons is that the red door out of use light is illuminated when the doors are locked, this combined with the delay in releasing the doors once stationary in the station leads people to panic that they will not be able to get off and start moving up and down...

    There is a drilling rig undertaking SI in the carpark at Garforth, drilling is taking place in the disabled bays alongside the track and could either be investigation for electrification mast piles or for DDA improvements in the form of a new footbridge. Does anyone know what is going on?

    Thanks for the update, very informative. There appears to be a compound formed trackside off the bridle path between Brumber Hill Farm bridge and Colton Lane Bridge. They have just completed the soil stabilisation to form the compound yard slab.
