What is this track object and associated markings?

Have sprayed up this type of markings many times. Not just for greasers, but normally cabling and ducting and switches. Greasers can be removed by arrangement and is preferrable as it means the tamper does not leave a large area untamped with the potential for track faults.

    Baildon landslip

Heard something about a landslip today on the Shipley - Ilkley line near Baildon. Wasn't there a couple of slips in that area about 8 years or so back?

Cost of building a new railway bridge over an A road?

Bridges over Roads will probably be costlier due to the increased length of the ramps either side. Roads can better cope with the length of ramp required.

England-Oslo-Copenhagen -England by train and ferry, any better/more interesting routes?

Not quite the same route, but back in July 1972 (possibly 71) I was on a school trip from Southport. We traveled by train to Newcastle, then on to the Fred Olsen ferry to Bergen. Then caught the coastal mail boat to Trondheim, I think we called at 25 Docks and other locations in a 40 hour run...
