    Poor condition of Bakerloo line stock

    StonebridgePk reversers are supposed to be washed,also depot stablers are supposed to be washed.Don’t know if it’s changed since I was there in the 90s,two or three trains were exterior cleaned overnight.

    Staff on the platform announcing mind the doors

    When they had regular off peak reversers at Kings Cross and Victoria on the Victoria Line there were station staff giving the “all change”announcement over the PA and checking the train was empty before giving the T/Op the right to proceed to the sdgs.

    RAT train started at Hainault in the 80s,one train was removed from service for leaf fall season and fitted with sanding gear.

    Even with the coasting spots Highbury-King’s Cross and Finsbury Pk-Seven Sisters the 47.5 speed check brake always operated. 1728681860 The service today isn’t that more intense than in 67TS days,train every 100 seconds today,every 120 seconds between Brixton and Seven Sisters then.

    1992 stock Refurbishment?

    Used to have coasting spots on Victoria Line under the original signalling system on the downhill sections Walthamstow-Blackhorse Rd,Highbury-Kings Cross,Green Pk-Victoria,Stockwell-Brixton,Oxford Circus-Warren St and Finsbury Pk-Seven Sisters.Didn’t cause any late running.

    95 TS had problems with damaged shoe beams,96TS are getting fractures.

    Assume extra 96TS probably came from Spain by boat to GB,they arrived at SMD on low loaders.

    When I worked at Hainault in the 70s & 80s motor flashovers were a regular thing on 62 TS,most times it was down to worn brushes.They never got to the stage they’ve got to with 92TS.

    Every week there was vecancies for guards at Watford in the Traffic Circular,maybe one of the reasons the Bakerloo was cut back to Harrow and Wealdstone,was the inability to recruit staff.

    Back in the 80s a depot Foreman at Neasden nearly lost his job for chasing a graffiti artist who fell and got electrocuted.

    With the arrival of A60/62 stock the CP stock on the Met moved to the District then when C69/77 came along CO & more CP stock from the H & C and Circle went to the District as well. 1717363778 This enabled lots of Q stock to be scrapped.
