    New North Wales freight services.

The work at Glan Conwy for the slate waste looks largely complete, including the pointwork at the west of the station. There's even some slate waste to practice with!

Update courtesy http://www.nwrail.org.uk/nwnews.htm Our thanks to John Sweeney who responded to our comment about lack of progress on the new freight flows he writes: 'Network Rail and Hanson have both been at Penmaenmawr sidings/yard on a few occasions. Slate from North Wales

    New Chester to Leeds service

Especially annoying when the 2 x 2 175 turns up as just 2 units and North Wales passengers cannot even get on. Newton le Willows my ar5e!

All Arriva Trains Wales 175s taken out of service (28/02)

I use it daily. Last week notwithstanding, it has not happened in the last 12 months, so hardly an everyday type event. Wasnt showing as cancelled when I left the house either. £5k a year for this!
