I admit, I use the buses occasionally, but only for city centre trips, biased to my car 90% of the time, I am someone who has high expectations.

The engineering effort at stagecoach in generally appalling across the board, I'm not surprised. The implementation of coaches is a shaky idea, I get that, of course they make a statement which buses can usually match in more cases.. Aberdeenshire having the hills it does have should have...

I very much believe after reading from some people here before I signed up that the 600 was simply a blockade attempt on lothian setting up a similar service. As you can tell, I'm only ever travel the central belt and I don't do my revision on what changes in North Scotland. I visited George...

I personally don't see a problem with using deckers on the 35, but I'd like to travel on something with at least more substantial seats that basic city V3 seats or similar ones. Was once upon a time a parks driver, the biggest problem with swivel-doors was air pressure lacking as the door wore...

I'd add to this issue that... LB are trying out in WL. Stagecoach NS have implemented the 757 in January. What wrong with First now more than every is the stagnancy of there effort and ambitions. I hope that with new purchases for the 9s or 60s for example they could offer something other...

Send Lothian or stagecoach out there with there coaches on these routes, you wouldn't be long in impressing those who use the x35/36/37s. I am a big believer in the quality and comfort aspect of coach travel over buses being used on some routes.

Of course for the general public at least, not a truer word spoke As Paul pointed out though, what happens then if the short working 255's were removed in this case, provided the full-length 255 and x1 via Bothwell/Uddingston could interlink to maintain every 15 minutes from Uddingston to...

I get that they offer two different levels of what you might call "quality", edinburgh generally is a more expensive place with far wealthier people living there. However I question the motive of "less money = less investment", generally speaking, yes that is the case, but in this instance the...

How does the tracker work for First? I've visited edinburgh of course and park at ingleston P&R ride then use the tram to the city centre, sometimes I've jumped off the tram at the Gyle simply to sample the 22's, Transport for Edinburghs I think is excellent for tracking the actual buses on route.

It isn't something seen in glasgow anymore of course, but I do wonder whether dual-door buses on said busy routes, the 2 for example having deckers and two-doors to speed things up, the problems with timekeeping surely can't be through partick to kelvingrove, the 2 and 77 both help out through...

It is in stark contrast to LB who invested in buses continually but in small amounts. Even bidding for Green-Bus funding for hybrids, which must have done them some good PR, politically & fuel efficiency wise, I always wonder why Lothian continue to buy into heavy singles though considering...

I am no expert, I wonder how much the 400 CITYs on the 500 cost compared to the standard 10.3m MMC buses normally bought. I am led to believe however that a standard or basic decker cost roughly £200000, yet with the shiny wheels and a proper professional announcement system + screens like...

I have driven buses for a few years, was born in glasgow and will never move away, I have certainly felt underwhelmed over what we are offered. It's a sad fact that a modern life has became all about money, money, money, for those that say that money isnt everything, I would quietly say there...

    West Lothian buses

Plaster some colour on, wa-lah, instant revenue increase says first.. More like money wasted on inconceivable nonsense..reliability, cost, quality, cleanliness and pedestal levels of good PR are key to retaining customers.

Back to the good old saying if not pessimistic, use it or lose it! Drive my own car to the train station albeit take a busy train, it's more expensive yet overall more convenient and faster.. Or Walk in the pouring rain to the x1 bus stop, wait for it, it may breakdown, it may be late...

    West Lothian buses

Granted, its a pitty bigger firms in certain area dont put there older B7s and B9's to better use and operate part time jobs for drivers for schools themselfs, as opposed to selling there old stock to cowboys lookin to make quick bucks

    West Lothian buses

If you think West Lothian has it bad you should visit some Lanarkshire towns!

    First Greater Glasgow

I'll keep my card close to my chest on this one. However New buses on the route might offer something in the way of improvements to the service alone, but if you look at other operators who go out to offer something extra special on routes that could still have potential for recovery first...

    Wrightbus enter administration

No, it isn't related to wrights shutting shop, cummins are a big player with ADL, other large groups who swarm to ADL for there cummins engined buses have there own engineers anyway who handle engine repairs themselves etc

    McGill's Buses - Renfrewshire & Inverclyde

Big problem with both routes is the fact first already run a service on much of those routes, namely the 61 and 60s on Maryhill Rd & in milngavie plus avondale & first provide a bus from duntocher to clydebank at least every 10 minutes.
