What are your predictions and hopes for the new Southeastern franchise?

I think off peak that could work with the stopping Canterbury East to Dover service as it arrives at xx40 each hour and departs at xx47 but 7 minutes may not be much time in the event of delays and the High Speed service would have to be the stopping service to Dover. If it could work though I...

    HS2 open access

I don't think there will ever be an open access operator on HS2, at least on the core section out of London because there is not likely to be any paths available and if trains terminated at Old Oak Common it would probably introduce a higher chance for delays. However once phase 2 opens I could...

Future demand for services bypassing Glasgow

Would the best solution )if better services avoiding Glasgow are needed) be to have a service at least hourly from Motherwell to Stirling or further and stop more or all WCML services at Motherwell?

Trivia: Stations that have the most train destinations? (Inc Sunday, late night, peak hours)

Is this not different though as I think this one is for stations where trains terminate at where as the one you have linked is for all the stations served whether trains terminate there or not?

My vision for (kind of Merseyside centric) new services/stations across the UK.

I have always thought a HS2 Liverpool service to Birmingham would be a good idea but would there be capacity on HS2 for this service once all the other HS2 services are up and running?

My vision for (kind of Merseyside centric) new services/stations across the UK.

Was there not a proposal a few years ago to have underground New Street/Moor Street platforms for the Cross City line? Not that I think this should have priority over other projects and it would not solve the problem of available capacity on the approaches to New Street. Really unless the...

My vision for (kind of Merseyside centric) new services/stations across the UK.

I don't think there is the capacity for both of these I think it would have to be one or the other as a diversion (or split) of a Manchester service as at the moment even if a slot can be found adding any extra trains via Birmingham would be a bad idea for reliability.

    Possible use for Class 350/2s

I agree that the Leeds service is more popular but going from Birmingham (where there is a large turnover of passengers) it is the faster service to the North East, and with the Voyagers saved from the via Leeds service being cut back to Leeds you could make the via Doncaster at least 8...

    Possible use for Class 350/2s

If XC were to do something like this with the 350/2 units (I don't think they should on the north east routes) then would it not be better to cut the Plymouth to Edinburgh at Leeds as this is the slower service to North East from Birmingham with the via Doncaster being much quicker and Leeds has...

My vision for (kind of Merseyside centric) new services/stations across the UK.

I know they do on the 170 operated routes but then some of those could be transferred away from XC. Though you could have doors at thirds on the longer routes that are currently operated by Voyagers I do not think it would be a good decision as in my opinion it makes traveling longer distances...
