Unsuccessful Job Interview. 6 month wait to reapply, however..

Contacted the recruitment team on the email and the couldn't give feedback at this time. Not the end of the world but getting to interview stage and not seeing where I went wrong is disappointing though. They did state that getting an interview was an achievement though and I am barred from that...

Just going with what the interviewing manager told me, 95% of the job is cleaning and one of the other staff said it was more cleaning than anything.

Unsuccessful Job Interview. 6 month wait to reapply, however..

O|K folks, recently had an interview for train dispatcher (GPR) with Scotrail and had the dreaded thanks but no thanks email. Few questions regarding other roles. 1. It was a generic email with a no reply address but I still have one of the recruitment teams email, is it worth emailing regarding...

Scotrail Station Grade A.. Q/A help please!

Shifts were 2 weeks early, 2 weeks late, 2 weeks nights, however the days were along ghe line of 7 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on 2 dqys off, rinse and repeat. You make it through the sift and are picked to go to the assessment centre whereby you need to pass (they send you example papers but...

Scotrail Station Grade A.. Q/A help please!

Don't work for Scotrail myself but had an interview for same job but at different station . 95% of work will be cleaning (station, toilets, canteen etc) Training consists of 1 week at training school followed by 2 weeks train dispatching and nothing else. (Took that from memory but may have...

So had an interview for this (still waitimg on outcome) and because it's GPR it mostly cleaning (station/toilets etc) with very little train dispatching. Still, just over 24K for a cleaning job, i'd do it in a heartbeat.

shadowing a train dispatcher on Friday. Questions to ask.

Cheers guys, another question i've got (again this was from local station) was the procedure of dispatchijg a train. She mentioned flashing indicator lights and other procedure (taken from memory, so 100% sure). Is there a video/website that shows this procedure cheers

    Group Bourdon Tool

Most were the same, may have a few that weren't on the practice sheets (not 100% sure). Use the tool but also print off test papers. My test was with Scotrail, other companies may be different though, maybe wise to browse through the thread to check.

shadowing a train dispatcher on Friday. Questions to ask.

Have an interview in 10 days for a train dispatcher, so going to shadow one hopefully on Friday or Saturday as has been recommended by staff at my local train station. What kind of questions should I be asking? It will be Scotrail if that is any difference. cheers

    Scotrail recruitment

Tell a lie, my assesment was 11th March, passed and intervirw was scheduled 27/03 but got cancelled on the 23rd. On another note I applied for a ticket examiner job last year and heard nothing, assumed I didn't get past the application stage, then in February they contacted me asking if I wss...

    Scotrail recruitment

Yeah, that was Scotrail. Sat my test in February and after cancellation it is to be rescheduled at a later date (but being the rail industry, that could be anytime in the next 12 months). The job was advertised again in May

    Scotrail recruitment

Mine's was similar, passed and had an interview set for March, they phoned and emailed me the Monday before to cancel it, haven't heard anything since. However they readvertised the same job few weeks back which I applied for with roughly the same answers as before and I failed that one.

    Group Bourdon Tool

I more or less left the sample sheets that were emailed to me (letters) and concentrated on the Group Bourdon tool shapes (on PC and printed). The GB tool SCAAT on PC only gives you 60 seconds but the actual test was about 2 minutes and much easier and also on paper. If you look through previous...

Interview cancelled due to COVID 19 but looks like job has been readvertised.

Had an interview cancelled 1st week of lockdown due to Coronavirus and was to be rechedulled at some point, browsing indeed and see that they are advertising the same job again. Although they don't mention the actual station this time, it's just advertised as Glasgow rather than Queen St. or...
