HR interview for trainee train driver

Not too sure to be honest as I’ve only met people who have passed. The DMI is usually a lot less formal but it’s with driver managers. These will be the kind of people who will be managing you when you go productive so you would want to leave your best impression. Some of the questions you...

HR interview for trainee train driver

No this will actually be your DMI if it’s with SWR. Think about why you want to do the job and why. A time you have worked safely to complete a task. A time where you have had to concentrate and a time when you have had to follow rules or how you have managed confrontation with a manager or...

Trainee Train Driver — SWR Farnham Depot

Just an assumption to be fair because I know of someone on a new course going to Farnham but they could also have more than one post to fill there over the year. So on reflection you cannot really say it’s filled........ Don’t be afraid to give recruitment a call. They are very approachable and...

Trainee Train Driver — SWR Farnham Depot

Wasn’t for a talent pool. Was for a live post which was successfully filled. SWR are committed to putting on new driver & guards all next year too so look out for adverts!

    Drink Driving

You are right Kev, as I said at the end it is a matter of what is disclosed and what is disclosable. There are different guidelines depending on the outcome (community resolutions, cautions, penalty notices & charges/ convictions).

    Drink Driving

Sorry but this is not correct. Despite the myths the CRO number you are referring to has nothing to do with criminal offences and relates only to confirmation that fingerprints are held and indexed in the criminal records office! Drink drive is a criminal offence and does not get archived...

Trainee Driver Vacancies - SWR - Fratton, Guildford, Waterloo & Woking.

Yes!!! I’ve done it. Thank you all and best of luck. Honestly I found the MMI quite intense but one of the most professional interview experiences I’ve had.

    Best tips/advice on MMI anyone???

As GG says. But remember it has to be the truth they will catch people out quite easily and apparently if they have any doubt of confidence in your answer they’ll fail. You probably do a lot of things in your job to maintain your concentration without realising it! Especially as you work shifts.

    Best tips/advice on MMI anyone???

Tough one as there are not many roles which are exactly the same because train driving is unique but on first thought I would imagine there would be a lot of cross over competences. Perhaps you just didn’t sell them clearly? Hope you get another shot soon!

    Dmi help please

I got the sense that this was more like a warm up/ put you at ease question. Although I did shed loads of research and decided to focus on one particular area in my area as demonstrate that I know not all is perfect & there are currently some challenges which I’m fully alive to.

    Best tips/advice on MMI anyone???

I’ve looked at the key competences that are tested in the MMI. I found the information online via the RSSB website. It may be old but could still be relevant. I have thought about examples where I can demonstrate the following; -I can communicate effectively -I can follow strict rules and...
