Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Very interesting to see this. Lothian's operations look massively down when compared with their pre-Covid peak. Anyone have any ideas as to how much the overall PVR has dropped and by how much the fleet has dropped in recent years? Assuming mostly driven by the pandemic and driver shortages?

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Not sure if this is the case in reality or not but it seems as if Lothian’s fleet has decreased massively over the last few years. Has the amount of new B5/B8’s that Lothian has received since 2017 or so fully replaced the remaining Tridents/B7/B9’s that were sold-off over the same period?

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

How come these have plug doors instead of the sliding doors as seen on other 80X?

    Lothian Buses and ECB Discussion

Thanks for your welcome :) I understand there are pros and cons of the board at flag policy, with the main advantage of it being that it helps the elderly and disabled. With this being the case is there not some scope for some kind of hybrid solution? Eg with passengers being able to board the...

    Lothian Buses and ECB Discussion

One of the major issues clogging up Princes Street is the fact that, because passengers are only allowed on when the bus has reached the front of the queue, there are often four or five buses queueing up at the one stop. Surely if passengers boarded the bus anywhere in the queue it would reduce...
