    Second job as a Trainee?

I don’t work for Avanti but I’d imagine your train handling hours could be on any day of the week so another job would be impossible irrespective of their rules.

    Freightliner - Trainee Drivers 2022 - (01/11/21)

Could also be Birmingham. I doubt where applicants live will influence where the course is held. 1658482018 Does that include the 4% salary increase?

Lead time between medical and contract (job offer)

Lol! Pretty confident I’m OK on all those. My concern is they’ll only give me a week’s notice when I need to work 4! 1646245812 I think what you’re talking about a provisional job offer when the original poster is referring to an actual confirmed contract. I’ve been given a vague idea of when...

Lead time between medical and contract (job offer)

Some of these responses are panicking me slightly. I’ve been offered a job pending a medical but I wasn’t given a start date. All they told me was that the course was likely to start in April. I need to give a months notice. What the hell do I do if my FOC give me a week’s notice?! 1646206706...

Are Talent Pools worth the paper they're written on?

I’ve been in a talent pool for 13 months and I’ve recently been given a conditional offer.

    Freightliner - Trainee Drivers 2022 - (01/11/21)

Had my medical today. Went well and quietly confident (famous last words) having originally applied 2.5 years ago. The chap carrying out the medical said that FL seem to be hiring a lot of trainee drivers based on the number of medically he was carrying out. Makes sense I guess. Catching up...

    Earles Sidings

Hi all, Anyone familiar with Earles Sidings? Firstly, stupid question but how is it pronounced? Is it one syllable or two? Secondly, what Freightliner routes run from there? Thanks in advance!

    Freightliner - Trainee Drivers 2022 - (01/11/21)

Thanks Terry/Numbskull. So the only rule of thumb is 12+ months. Sounds a bit open ended. Hopefully with Covid rules being relaxed, training shouldn’t suffer any disruption!
