Too late for tomorrow but this is what I did last Saturday...if you get a return ticket to Leicester on XC, and an ADVANCE FIRST CLASS return Leicester - Derby, it's only £6 more than standard and you'll get that back in free sandwiches, croissant, coffee, juice and biscuits (in both directions) ;)

We've had to book a club double as neither of us can use the steps up to a bunk bed, and so it's cost £500 each way...how much more do you suggest we pay? (there is no discount for a disabled railcard in club)

I'd be more concerned that it is electrically safe, such as is the casing earthed properly? Is the plug + cable in good condition? I would get it tested by a qualified electrician if I was giving it as a gift...looks cool though

Possibly because the number of carriages has yet to be confirmed and therefore XC don't yet know how many seats will be on your service. During the week it could be as little as 4 coaches but on a Saturday it could be up to 8 or 9 looking at the last couple of weeks...
