Yeah, pretty much. Getting off at Carlisle and heading back to Perth. The train is continuing South though.

Yeah moving again, but southward. Bailing at Carlisle as plans ruined. They did offer to book us alternative flights to be fair to them.

I've heard that we are going back to Edinburgh now. Probably makes sense given the length of delay, crews hours etc.

    Caledonian Sleeper

Cheers. We are still stationary and no sign of a loco. Train is in darkness and pretty tomb-like. Wonder how long it will block the main line for. Any other time of the day and it would be carnage.

It's broken down. Lost power. Getting dragged back to Edinburgh possibly. Been somewhere near Carstairs for nearly 3 hours. Was supposed to be flying to France today. Ah well.

Trainee Depot Driver Structured Interview help??

Yes, thats what happened in my case. I applied for a trainee driver position at chingford having done my opc with scotrail, but as I understand it those were all taken by depot drivers from ilford moving across. This left 6 full time depot driver vacancies at Ilford, one of which I was lucky...

    Scotrail Trainee Driver Test

Its encouraging that the people delayed from October 2009 seem to be on courses now. I'm waiting for a medical for Inverness, but only had the tests in august so judging by the others, could be in for a bit of a wait.

    Helpful advice required please

Have heard back from scotrail now, the decision on when to run the course has been delayed till the end of the year/start of next year. So after some deliberation I've decided to take the scary and difficult decision not to renew my contract with the RAF and chase my dream to become a train...

Yeah Palace mate, but didn't want to admit that in case the quality of advice went down  Personally I'd be happy settling in Elgin, although becoming a driver anywhere is my top priority. It would be easier getting to matches if i was with HEX though :)
