Great news QT. I also had an email today, ref the same future roles, although it was to say I will find out whether I get to the next stage by Friday. I'm taking the positive view of I'm still in with a shout. Good luck for your interview mate.

Hi gents, congratulations on getting an interview/put in a talent pool. I've also got an application under consideration for North East future opportunities IRC2181167. I've not had any updates since the 28th April so trying to be optimistic although wondering if I've just been missed from the...

Ah well thanks for looking anyway. I've already applied for it and passed the bench mark. Just waiting to see if I get invited to interview.

I agree. Its a strange one because the questions on the shl website were really difficult but the 8 practice ones were quite easy only for some of the real ones to be quite difficult.

Hi everyone. On the subject of the role 'OPERATIVE'... I've seen various Operative roles advertised and the job description is the same for all of them whether they're 'Signalling maintenance', 'track', 'off track' etc. I can work out the difference between all of those but if a role is...

The only way I can log on is by clicking on 'apply' for any random job. It then allows me to log on, then just go on to your profile or home button to get to your application info.

Hi, the questions are the actual application form. Apparently there are 70 questions on the normal application form but on the future opportunities for north/eastern, there are only 6. For the future opportunities role, I completed the application form (6 questions) along with attaching my CV. I...

Apologies. My last post was sent by accident. As Dave mentioned there were 6 questions on the future role application and were on the lines of 'Why do you want to work for NR?'

Ok, thanks. It just got me thinking because the email from HR mentions they will send instructions about the online assessment closer to the time. Yeah I'll post my experience.

I’ve applied for a future opportunities position for north and eastern routes and the process seems different to the normal current one ie application accepted, invite to test (SJT, VR, NR), interview... Having had my application accepted, I’ve had an email outlining the process which refers to...

Hi big music. I’ve not done them yet but I reckon they will be worded slightly more straightforward and less time consuming than a lot of the practice tests out there. You’ve probably seen the 3 or 4 ‘example’ questions on that shl website which are considerably more straightforward than those...
