Cracking news this, went into town earlier, the amount of people moaning about it... i just cant understand why they cant see this in a positive light. Admittedly i'm not a driver so only see this from the public transport users side.

Beat me to it, had a ride on Tuesday and was very impressed with the work that as been done, the new track starts at the Manchester end of Timperley Station and runs all the way to just passed Trafford Bar. Most of the platforms have also been relayed and raised to level with the tram doors...

Often if ticket machines are out of use for some period of time, the RPI's will head up there with portable machines and issue tickets. 'jumping the tram' as its known here, is getting more difficult these days, there are 2 teams of RPI's about on the network as well as carslile security...

I saw that t'other day when i accidentaly refound the site. The new timetable makes no difference to me as im struggling to find a cheap ticket to london to go and do it.

Its got to be the underground for me as I have never traveled on the tramlink and the airport expresses and havent been on the DLR since i was bout 7 so cant remember it much!!!

Thats what I thought when i created the poll. I actualy had m first experience of the Tyne and Wear Metro last Saturday. I really liked it. I love the pasenger seat at the front next to the cab.

I used to be in the same boat, but after riding Sheffield a number of times is just moved ahead of my local Metrolink.

I Cant say im a fan on the older trams. As im still only young im too young to have been around at the time they were. I'v done Crich and Blackpool but its LRT all the way with me.
