    How long will LU stock be left for?

    I'm happy to be corrected, but isn't the D Stock one of the most (if not the most) reliable stock on LU (along with the 1973TS)? So while the traction isn't getting any younger, it's certainly still reliable at the moment.

    The C stock will begin to be replaced this year and along with the D stock (replacement for the D stock will begin next year at the earliest) will all be replaced by S Stock by 2015. The replacement stock for the 1972/73 stock will not be ordered until after 2020 at the earliest at the moment...

    S Stock Deliveries - No longer Suspended

    As far as I know, the S Stock is actually capped in performance to match the A Stock and the same will apply when they are rolled out on the H&C, Circle and District lines (to the C and D Stocks). In fact if I remember correctly, very little will change until the signalling is upgraded.

    By then, most of the service on the Metropolitan line will be S Stock and you'd be more hard pushed to find an A than an S. I believe it's already about 50/50 between the two stocks without preference to any branch as far as I know.

    When will Blackfriars Underground station re-open?

    According to the stations closure document on the TfL website which was correct at time of publication on 5 October, it will reopen on Monday 19th December. However I'm not sure it's certain it will reopen then because, as you have pointed out, the date hasn't been mentioned in many places.
