    London Underground Managed Decline

As other posters have rightly said, there was a severe shortage of drivers. Reversing off one platform won’t help either.

    London Underground Managed Decline

This is from the timetable notice, an internal document, where the planned service was laid out. In connection with train arrestor installation at Wood Green and tamping works at Oakwood, the Piccadilly Line train service will be suspended between King’s Cross and Cockfosters from...

Does TFL have in house welders?

LU do employ their own welders. Looking at the internal document showing the pay rates, it’s 50-60k a year depending on whether you’re days or nights. No idea when the job will be advertised again, so keep an eye on the TFL jobs page on their website.

Oyster Card 'Registration' and Railcard Discount

Thanks for the vote of confidence. As someone who works in outer London, I've put railcard and young visitor discounts on frequently, without issue, for many years. Also, so have many of my colleagues. 1692380317 There are two types of registration. Basic and full. Basic is what most people...

    Jubilee train to Charing Cross

According to internal documents the Controller failed to inform the driver of the change of destination. Equally the driver wasn’t reading their display at Green Park. So an oversight on both.

RMT Strike affecting London Underground services from 23rd to 28th July; ASLEF Strike action on 26th and 28th July. (Strike now suspended)

From the internal TFL yammer group, some CSM’s have said they will lose anything from. 8-15k per annum.

RMT Strike affecting London Underground services from 23rd to 28th July; ASLEF Strike action on 26th and 28th July. (Strike now suspended)

TFL have now said that any managers downgraded to supervisors will receive 3 years of protected earnings. So you were ‘mapped or ‘promoted’ into the role for no extra money, and will now potentially receive a heft pay cut as you are denoted to a supervisor salary. Very nice of TFL, whilst the...

RMT Strike affecting London Underground services from 23rd to 28th July; ASLEF Strike action on 26th and 28th July. (Strike now suspended)

Incorrect. It’s station managers who are being culled if TFL get their way. It’s going full circle. Station supervisors were ‘promoted’ to the customer service manager role. Extra responsibilities for no extra reward. So, as predicted by staff and the unions back in 2015 there are far too...

    Lancaster Gate Station

Overtime ban from 1-7 June has been suspended. Talks will take place. Positive development I think.

    Lancaster Gate Station

There’s an RMT overtime ban across all of LU 1-7 June.

    Lancaster Gate Station

Either no staff, or there are staff, but they are moved to a busier station nearby. I’m not sure which stations are part of the cover group, maybe Bond St or Notting Hill Gate. Reduces the overall inconvenience. It’s not good, but that’s the reality. So many stations are run on overtime. Not...

Northern line train evacuation at Clapham Common

Smell of brake dust which can smell of burning. Also considering it’s the Northen line, the air vents were probably full of tunnel dust and other nasty things which blew out into the saloons causing the panic.

    Highgate station fire

Indeed. There have been numerous raves and drug taking up there for years. BTP are frequent visitors. There was even a rave in one of the South tunnels.

Kentish Town station closure from 26th June

As part of the work involves demolishing part of the ticket office building, I think it’s highly likely that there will be no ticket issuing facilities. The station will effectively be a building site.

Man on roof of Station and Train at Barons Court

Person has mental health issues, had taken drugs shortly before, weak canopy, icy canopy, kept moving along canopy. Police negotiators tried their best, but granted, it took a long time.

I think they are, but am not 100%.

Aren’t these escalators an NR asset?
