I wonder how many know that on this service there is no Standard Premium as Coach H is 1st class. I didn't until I was onboard. I did want to upgrade as I had a rubbish seat which was in coach E. I only realised it was 1st Class when the TM announced it about 1 minute before departure. It was only then I noticed the antimacaser had 1 class on it lol. A small number didn't realise. Oh, I decided to splash the cash and upgrade to 1st Class.

Mentioned recently at https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...ass-seats-at-the-weekend.274909/#post-6968450
And even more confusing, I didn’t know that on a Friday there’s no Standard Premium available on the 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 16:30 and 17:30 departures from Euston to Glasgow. All three coaches (H, J and K) are exclusively for first class on those journeys. On other departures on Fridays and all day on other weekdays coach H is Standard Premium while on Saturdays and Sundays coaches H and J are Standard Premium and only K is First. You have to have your wits about you when travelling with Avanti...
Sorry you missed it then!
I wouldn’t have known either, other than for this post.

I guess demand for actual First Class must be high on those services so they don't offer the Standard Premier offering.

It would be good if Avanti advised this on their website. Also maybe a good idea if they sent a brief to neighbouring TOCs- I don't think anyone at the Station I work at (including myself!) would know about this. I'd advise passengers to upgrade onboard with the Train Manager.

Just randomly been looking to book a First Class seat on 07:56 Rugby to London Euston. It offered coach H- no Standard Premium on this train? I'm assuming First is H/J/K?
