Hello Everyone,

My name’s David and I work for Cats Protection where we’ve recently started to sell our goods online with a company called Thriftify. This last week we've had donated the below Electrical Engineering technical drawings and blueprints from Southern Railway dating from the 1930s and I thought they may be of interest to someone here.

I’ve asked for permission and have been told here would be the best place to share these:

https://www.thriftify.co.uk/vintage-southern-railway-electrical-engineer-drawings-blueprints.html

We mainly deal with clothing but also have a selection of other Railway related bits and pieces (Hornby Train sets often end up available if they’re of interest to anyone here) and the money you spend with us goes to help Cats Protection. So if you’re in the market for memorabilia please do bare us in mind as we get new stock donated to us every week.

Happy shopping!

The link you have provided looks like some sort of scam but this works

As they specifically relate to the Portsmouth electrification scheme of 1937, other groups worth contacting online would be
the Southern Electric Group https://www.southernelectric.org.uk/
and the Southern Railway email Group https://sremg.org.uk/
Either might have members who would be interested in buying them - AFAIK the groups themselves wouldn't.

Thanks very much, I've sent messages out to both Groups so I'll see how I get on

Almost any individual or museum will want to know the extent of the collection, ie.
(real world) coverage (is it just Havant?), number of drawings, physical volume, etc.
A local railway contact may be able to do this for you.
The National Railway Museum may accept the drawings as a donation, or be aware of others who may be interested - [email protected]@railwaymuseum.org.uk
