Has anybody heard anything about 222103? About this time last year I heard that that 2 replacement cars were being built. I think now was about the time they were meant to be complete. I wonder if they ever bothered or will bother to build the replacements, especially now the Pioneer fleet is going to East Midlands Trains.

They really shouldve taken the opportunity to build more trailer cars for both Meridians and Voyagers.........

IN regards to your question, i heard a delivery time of 12-24 months!

if the good cars of 222103 were kept then they could be used in existing meridians to make them longer, most useful (and easy) would be to put one of each in to 222001 and 222002 to mkae them 8 car (presuming the coaches in question weren't driving ones, or were they?)

But surely the good cars will be used with the two new replacement units?

Yes, I think he was saying do that until a replacements are ready. I'm suprised Hull Trains didn't do that.

Does anybody know what cars were damaged? Like was it a Driving Car and was it First or Standard. Or does anybody have the car numbers then I could figure it out.

Two cars were damaged a driving car and a saloon so there is one cab and one good 'middle car' which are still at Crofton.

The cost of a special build of just 2 cars would be astronomical and is highly unlikely it would be even contemplated.

If indeed it was to happen, HT could have tagged on an order for additional centre cars to strengthen the fleet and eliminate the long term need for Adelantes.

I thought it was being completed as part of the insurance?

If not at least the Class 222s will have two spare bodys if a 222 ever crashes or gets damaged.
