So to summarise.
3 people travelling together from maidenhead into London return. All off peak. will be using tube all day so will need a travel card.
1 person has a network rail card.

I cant find the cheapest option.
Is it groupsave? Contactless all 3? 2 x contactless and 1 x network card discount ?

If it's the weekend or a bank holiday, the GroupSave or Network Railcard price for an Off-Peak Day Travelcard from Maidenhead is £12.70 (Network Railcard price would be £13.00 Monday to Friday due to the minimum fare) and that would be valid from 09:30 (10:00 for the Network Railcard discounted version.)

Whilst not published anywhere, it appears the Off-Peak Daily Cap from Elizabeth Line stations is the same as the Off-Peak Day Travelcard fare, namely £19.30 undiscounted.

As such, as long as you're travelling together all day, the GroupSave option is the best on weekdays, and either GroupSave or Network Railcard at weekends and public holidays.

It is published on the TfL website (see the link in the next quote) and also on my fare finder. There is an anomaly where it appears that the travelcard rates were increased in June and TfL haven't updated their site. I still need to get an answer as to whether the actual caps have increased.
Here https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/find-fares/national-rail-fares-beyond-zone-9 , under Adult. I don't know why it suggests that those caps include zones 1-8, mind!
Nor do I. When the caps were introduced they were described as to zones 1-6 with extension fares being required if both ends of the journey were beyond zone 6. I'm sure I tested it out as well at the time and found that an extension was charged. I can't remember the actual details sadly.

Don't forget with a network railcard you get a third off those travelling with you as well not just the railcard holders ticket.
