Hi all,

First post in all (Though must of been reading this forum now for 2+ years!)

Anyway, 3CIG unit 1399 has transfered ownership from a private individual to the Save The Cigs group. 8)

The old gal will be leaving the Dartmoor Railways Meldon Quarry by road bound for restoration and a new lease of life on the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in South Wales this coming week.

So if any of you are driving on the M5 this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday coming, keep an eye out! ;)

Didn't they take the intermediate carriage out to make it suitable for Brokenhurst - Lymington services?

1499 was replaced by 1497 and 1498. I think that line can only work with 3 car trains?

1499 Now lingures in a siding at Lydney on the DFR - in a pretty poor state at mo. Was imaculate when we first got it and had the pleasure of looking after it until the local animals got in and wrecked it.

Lymy line can take 6 cars but only for rescue purposes. One set must be locked OOU and cut out, due to lower power availability. Desiros have been known to appear on the line but they hate the curve.

When yah restoring 63' Stock, why are you going to have a 57' Stock trailer in the rake! <D

Naa, currently the CEP TSO that was in the rake got left behind at Dartmoor, its either going to be heading to London to become a some fancy cafe somewhere, or if that (ever ongoing ) sale falls through, she should be donating her gear to make the CEP TSO at DFR operational again. And then collecting the rest of it for scrap. ;)
