50027 update.

Hi all.
As you may be aware, the main gen in Lion failed late 2021.
This was removed and has since been repaired along with the ETH and aux generators.

We are currently waiting a date to put the engine and gen sets back in the loco.
Peoples availability and better weather being the reason for the delay.

Yesterday Lion was moved out of its usual hiding spot to allow access for a working party to do some jobs on the Hampshire unit easily.

This gave me the opportunity to fill the loco with air for a good 6 hours.
Something I don’t get the chance to do that often.
No strange pops bangs or hisses from blown pipes came from it and it held air for a while once disconnected.

Plans are being made to collect the generators and to start putting the loco back together once the weather perks up a little.
Peoples busy lives being the main delay.
