Come and join us at the East Kent Railway next Sunday, June 16th, as we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Kent Coast Electrification.
There will be a line up of historic EMU coaches at the EKR Shepherdswell station, complete with information displays on the trains and the story of the project. The Network SouthEast museum will also be open at Shepherdswell.
Trains will be worked to Eythorne and back by the class 73 locomotive with the Gatwick Express stock.
At Eythorne the class 365 unit, now the Jubilee carriages will be open and so will Selling signal box which contains the historic Faversham signal box panel which dates from the start of electrification in 1959.
The 4SUB Association stand will be there at the Network South East Society Museum.
As mentioned on here regarding the Class 457, the repaint has been completed. - https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...ss-457-spondon-and-ruston-165de-mazda.249284/
Also 4COR Carriage S11187 has had the front end repainted and has returned back to its orignal unit number of 3135.
