I managed to get a full day of photography in London in mid-2014 giving me my largest single day's railway photo haul, so I have put off processing the photos until now. Unfortunately I didn't record the RTT pages from the day, so not got a record of most of the workings, just the freight and specials.
My goals for the day were to complete my class 180s (needing two FGW examples, 106 and 108), bag a load of FGW HSTs, see the diverted Caledonian sleepers on the NLL, 67s on the Chiltern and photograph a few freight workings with motive power I don't usually see up north.
As usual my London jaunts began with an early morning run up to Paddington for the inbound sleeper and an usual leading engine:

I also completed my Adelante fleet with both 106 and 108 in the station:

Then it was up on the Bakerloo and across the NLL to Camden Road to see the Up Highland sleeper passing through having run down the East Coast:

A quick shuffle then got me to Dollis Hill for a handful of the Chiltern LHCS workings, then down to West Hampstead for the rest. Good locations with the entire Chiltern main line opposite the tube platforms, but the frequent Underground service meant a lot of blocking of shots, so not ideal.

Thence it was on to Ealing Broadway, I had stopped off there the previous year on a photography trip and it had proven pretty successful, the fast platforms were unlocked so plenty of free space to take photos and a couple of unusual sights in the form of a hired in Chiltern Turbostar and a Footex ECS:

From there I went to Kensington Olympia for a few freight workings:

And back to Ealing for some more HST and freight action:

Plus the rare (?) sight of 360205 outside of Heathrow:

From there I went down to Clapham Junction to see 442s on the GatEx and what are now already historic scenes in the form of 458/0s:

I then looped around the East side of London on the new orange lines which had recently been finally joined up, to Finsbury Park for a quick evening spot of FCC sets:

Before heading into Kings Cross and seeing this 365 set in preparation for its upcoming Govia Thameslink branding:

Then it was onto an East Coast set and home...
