Hi all a very historical, interesting and 'steamy' day today when out doing photography. Locations today included anotehr and more in depth visit to the abandoned and disued train station in Glasgow's West End at Hyndland: Crow Road. Later I went to Springburn station to take a few photographs of the two steam engine workings that were in the area later during the early evening.
Links to photographs and more information about today can be seen below:
ABANDONED AND DISUED RAILWAYS: Crow Road Station: I had time today to go back to the station for a more in depth research and photography visit. I have added 20 more images to the gallery. Photographs include of the tunnel just up from the island platform at the station which took trains to and from the old station at Kelvinside and Partick Central (which like Crow Road station were part of the Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire railway as the railway line was known in the bygone years). THe gallery also includes images of the old island platform, station canopy detailed photographs, old tracked, roof structure plus much more. I will be adding captions to every single photograph in this and the many other and updated galleries I have added/been working on over the past week. I promise I will complete the caption for all these images by the end of the weekend.
