Hello all,

I was due to see a friend in Manchester on Saturday but due to the strikes, I had to go up on Friday and return on Sunday instead. I travelled from Stoke on the all toc ticket with an open return, outbound on Avanti (was due to be XC but it was delayed), return on XC, so I have some questions;

- How easy would it be to claim for the delay, given the nature of my ticket?
- Which operator should I claim from?

Any help appreciated!

In short, the operator that caused the delay.

What was your planned train and the actual train you took? What was the total delay to your journey (how late should you arrive compared to if things have run on time)?

I hadn't booked anything by then (I'd bought the tickets on the 11th) but the idea was to get the 09:44 XC outbound and the 21:27 XC back. I wound up on the 20:50 Avanti on the Friday and the 14:27 XC on the Sunday.

It's still a little unclear to me what happened.

Are you saying you want to try and make a claim based on the time you should have arrived on the Saturday?

Or were there delays 'on the day' on Friday and/or Sunday?

From the information presented, you were not delayed and therefore do not have a valid claim for delay repay.

So you delayed yourself by about 11 hours each time? You can't claim for that. I'm confused.
