Greetings! I'm hoping that some kind soul on these forums can help me with my problem. I'm an American live steam enthusiast living in California, and for my next locomotive project I want to build a BR Class 08 diesel shunter in 1/8 scale.
Unfortunately, finding high quality engineering diagrams of the locomotive has proved difficult. All I need are general layout schematics depicting the front, side and back of the engine. I'm fairly certain that the National Railway Museum in York has the drawings I'm looking for, but their online catalogue is huge and somewhat difficult to decipher. Even in the event that I found drawings of a Class 08 in the catalogue, there is obviously no way for me to physically go and check at the museum to ensure they are the drawings I need, unless I want to take in impromptu vacation
If anyone on here knows of a better way that I can get my hands on these drawings rather than taking a gamble paying for drawings that I hope are the correct ones (or if you happen to know of a forum that would be better suited for this question) I would very much appreciate it! Sorry to be a bother, hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance!
