I guess that includes fitters, cleaners, dispatchers as well as train crew and signallers?

I'm not counting catering as essential although they can be used for customer services.

I love the fact that Southeastern are including cleaners as key workers considering the state most of the trains are sent out in. Dust and grime everywhere. Quite often still yesterdays papers on there. I wonder if they were thinking what key workers the cleaners were when they were getting fined millions of pounds for that cleaner getting killed at West Marina depot the other year?

Totally agree. Cleaners were banned from all sidings for a long time IIRC. Presumably until they were all PTS trained which is what should have been done in the first place. But as usual it’s safety first, until spending money is involved, which is SE all over.
