And would a NR apprentice engineer also be classed as a key worker?

Thanks

Been and gone.
Some are some are not. You will have been issued with a letter from Andrew Haines dated 20th March if your post is critical.

My TOC has taken it a step further and listed every role that they consider as being included. I suspect that it would be up to each TOC to determine its internal policy.

My kids school has simply asked that parents submit a form with their role and employer details and they will make a judgement call. The Government doesn't have a specific list but a generic guide to the industries needed to support the ongoing zombie apocalypse.

So what roles has your TOC defined as critical?

What does that actually mean, in practice?

I love the fact that Southeastern are including cleaners as key workers considering the state most of the trains are sent out in. Dust and grime everywhere. Quite often still yesterdays papers on there. I wonder if they were thinking what key workers the cleaners were when they were getting fined millions of pounds for that cleaner getting killed at West Marina depot the other year?

And quite often last night’s vomit still there!

Totally agree. Cleaners were banned from all sidings for a long time IIRC. Presumably until they were all PTS trained which is what should have been done in the first place. But as usual it’s safety first, until spending money is involved, which is SE all over.
