Armthorpe - single track mystery...

If you scroll left slightly - it's the north to south single track which links the Doncaster to Hatfield/Thorne line with the ECML south of Doncaster itself. The one that passes between Wheatley Golf Club and Shaw Wood. You can follow it north or south.

I've just moved to Armthorpe and noticed it, but if you click on the map on the link above - not satellite - it disappears. It's not on any road maps either.

AFAIK, that's the dis-used line from Kirk Sandall to the coalfields of South Yorkshire (such as Maltby) avoiding Doncaster.

Perhaps someone more in the know can clarify it's status.
