Arriva employee bus pass enquiry

For context I am in west yorkshire.

I have one but cannot find any details online regarding its use etc. I have a few questions and I was hoping that you guys would be able to help?

- Does it work on first and metro buses?
- Is it a discount pass or do I go completely free?

A W.Yorks Arriva pass should be valued on First within W.Yorks. Staff Passes are a funny thing. Some drivers are sticklers others will accept any wherever they're from.No harm in asking the driver.

That usually means 'By the rules they aren't valid but if we let them unofficially using our buses for free they'll let us use their buses unofficially for free but some drivers follow the rules as they don't want to risk getting in to trouble.'

In West Yorks you get free official bus travel through mutual agreement on First/Transdev and Stagecoach within the West Yorks boundary - Transdev can be sticklers for this. I haven't had a problem with TJ walsh/Yorkshire Tiger but that's unofficial.

Also Tyne and Wear metro is free, from personal experience and colleagues, but not had anything official, and passes the scrutiny of on board revenue protection swoops.

I live in Wales have used my Stagecoach pass anywhere without a problem.
