Is a Club 55 ticket(plus Cross Country Supplement) valid to travel Gloucester to Holyhead & return using ATW service from Glos-Cheltenham then Cross Country to Birmingham then ATW from Birmingham - Holyhead & back

At one point, the terms & conditions refer to only being able to have a single add-on per Club55 ticket "at one end of the journey". It's not clear whether "at one end of the journey" means what it says.

Edit: it's very confusing. If you try to book Club 55 for Cheltenham to Holyhead, there's no add-on but you are routed on Cross Country trains to Newport, then ATW to Holyhead.

Bought Club 55 ticket BNG to MAN online on 7th November to start 11th November, and went to ticket machine at Bangor on 8th November to collect it. The machine refused to issue it and directed me to the ticket office. Fortunately that was open at the time I went, guy at ticket office said "the ticket machine won't issue Club 55 tickets" and printed it off for me. What would I have done if office was closed or station was unmanned?
Oh, and the machine did issue a TPX club 55 ticket from MAN to EDB!
Anyone else come across this?
