Yes, I'm watching it. So's my wife and my son ( daughter not interested! ). It's a very interesting series. It's in the "elimination" format but it's far more interesting than most such shows. Think... Krypton Factor on steroids.

Yes it is! I think it said that the winner would be referred by Chris Hadfield to the ESA(?) for when they next recruit astronauts so there is a lot at stake.
Kerry, the RAF pilot, seems like a very strong candidate. I feel like Tim or the Secondary school teacher (cant remember his name) are going to be everyone's favourite though. There are some candidates that do seem weak to be honest and I can't see them ever winning it such as Merritt- she might have raw ability/intelligence but she lacks maturity.

Yes indeed I was surprised the dentist/mountaineer was eliminated ahead of Merritt. She seemed incredibly determined and capable.

Overall I'd agree with the previous poster that it's very watchable. Far more so than most programmes of this format!

Hadfield's book is a great read. There's no doubt you have to be wired in a different way to be an astronaut.

However once back on Earth they go back to being NASA employees and may end up piloting cargo planes between NASA bases!
