Does anyone know more about the role of On Board Manager for Avanti?
I know they manage competency, absence and service levels for Train Managers and Onboard Hosts, similar to Conductor Managers, but was wondering the following.
Do they cover 'On Call' duties? If so, are they paid additionally for it?
Are they contingency TMs? If so, during Industrial action only or when short of staff?
How many staff do they typically manage?
How active they are on the network? (Our managers are very much office based with seemingly little time out with staff)
