The ever popular Bath Christmas Market had two steam hauled charters on the 5th December 2023. Both originated in the Midlands with 45231 The Sherwood Forester hauling the Great Western Envoyr from Solihull to Bristol Temple Meads and 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe on the Merchant Venturer from Birmoingham Snow Hill.
The trains are seen at passing Pixash Lane near Keynsham within an hour of each other.
Normally I would have waited for the return but as there was an ovetime ban trains were being cancelled so I decided to head home to avoid being stranded.
