On Saturday 14th February I came through Blackburn at about 22:20 and there appeared to be some carriages parked behind the station in the goods line, anybody know what they could be.
Open train times shows ECS workings from both Carnforth and Castleton terminating there during the day,and an ECS to Preston at 0818 Sunday which formed an 0903 Passenger to Sheffield.

Presumably stabled overnight at BBN because of engineering work. Locos from ELR, stock from Carnforth.
There was an overnight possession on Lancaster to Preston which prevented the early morning ECS Carnforth to Blackburn Sunday morning so had to come over Saturday
