Don't know if it's already been mentioned on here, but Blackpool trams are 125 years old this year. To mark the occasion Blackpool Council are going to bring vintage trams from all over the country to run on the town's tram lines.
The council are also going to modernise the fleet by bringing in Supertrams that will eventually run on extended lines into the town centre. Blackpool will keep one or two of each current model in operation in Blackpool for heritage / showcases, and send the rest to museums around the country.
