There's hardly any point in this project, not much is different between the 66 and all its subclasses.

The cab pic is poor, from what you've said you don't have any experience in train creation....

My advice; you'd be better looking into other areas of BVE that you're stonger/better at.

For the record, midlandscotterz was asked by Admin at TSC to confirm that this work was all his own or that he had received full permissions to use any contributions by other people.

They have yet to receive a reply, so his post remains in moderation. Is midlandscotterz making a statement in his omission to respond?

Another thread, another load of really helpful and supportive comments... Call me old fashioned but if a conversation is taking place between a member of another forum and the staff, surely said conversation should remain between those two parties and not broadcast to the world and its wife with a potentially libellous implication?

Just my two cents, I'd rather see a new developer trying and being given constructive criticism than being chased off with what could be construed as slanderous comments.

Admin note

Yes - constructively criticise.

Jonfun. Whilst the posts by other members might be a little harsh, they are genuine suggestions for improvements.

We will bring this to a close now; and continue discussion on this matter in a sensible manner.

Well for all you train spotters or train wannabies who criticise this, you are wrong as this project has the real sounds not rubbish tinny sound as the 66 from TSC doesn’t not sound what it is as i have been on class 66 locomotives and they don’t sound like the bve version so therefore the Norton group inc. myself are making this one the official one if you don’t have any positive comments I suggest you say nowt and have nothing to do with this

but putting 'sounds better than the TSC one' is just rude, but putting 'with realistic sound' or something is enough. So critising someone elses work where theres may fail in your opinion, but is better in other ways (eg cab image) is just rude. Hence the negative replies

So it might be, but so is posting stuff like "It looks like it was taken on a mobile phone" and "Is he making a statement in omission?" - To be honest, they're all peoples personal opinions which people are allowed to have. That doesn't mean I think one side is right over another; I've said it before and I'll say it again, if when new developers try to have a go at things they get shot down in flames, then the BVE community won't go far, in my Personal opinion.

looks odd doesnt look like your the driver which is the main aim in Train Sims, on the note of not getting permission id advise you to get it before you put it up for download or you`ll be in a legal dispute, ill admit ive made locos using my own photos and someone elses sounds but its for personal use only and i would never publish it without permission.
you have stated that your sounds are better than TSC`s sound but they sound exacly the same.

as stated before there is no difference between the 66`s sub classes so out of yours and the TSC one id pick the TSC one exept your is a bit annoying because of that "Ching ching ching" sound that sounds like there is 5p coins on the line and at 1:17 in that video it doesnt get any better

some constructive critisism:
-The Cab Is too Dark
-Its at the wrong angle (sit in the drivers seat and get a photo)
- Re-Record the sounds
and personaly id chose a different loco something thats not been done yet e.g MTU HST ot VP185 HST or Mk3 DVT and so on..

I've got a set of high res images for a 66/7 cab, just needs someone to put them together. Taken in daytime.
All your cab images look as if they are taken on a phone. Why the dodgy angle on the 66 and 150?

If this had been a certain persons work, after reading this he would have taken everything offline in a strop and blamed me
