Hi, Today I have booked a seat on the Cally Sleeper on Sept 28th from Preston (0030) to Aberdeen.
I have been allocated a seat in Coach "A". I did ask which end of the train coach "A" would be but no advice was available.
Does anyone know where it will be at Preston? I ask as I will have a walking stick, rucksack, and a belly full of ale. I appreciate the coaches and it's a long walk from one end to the other.
TIA.

I believe it will be at the rear of the train, I think the last carriage but I’m not 100% on that. Certainly the back half, as the front eight are for Inverness.

The Aberdeen seats are at the very south end of the train heading north.

If I recall correctly the seated coach for Aberdeen is usually in the middle of the train. I want to say it's the 8th coach from the front but I'm not 100% certain of that.

I stand corrected!
