Can I go from Tile Hill to Northampton via Milton Keynes with an off peak return?

I thought I understood the Routeing Guide but I don't so I turn to you.

This is just theoretical, but is it possible to take the Avanti from Coventry (COV) to Milton Keynes Central (MKC) then train to Northampton (NMP)? I miss riding the Pendos.

I've spelt out the three-letter codes you used - our forum rules require you to do this the first time you use an abbreviation in a given thread.

Unfortunately travelling via MKC isn't permitted for this journey - this is perhaps unsurprising as the fare to MKC is much higher than that to NMP. You would need to buy a combination of tickets, e.g. Tile Hill to MKC and MKC to NMP.

You can travel via Nuneaton if you like, though.

Thank you! I'll remember for next time.

I thought that would be the case. I just happened to find the only avanti service that goes direct from COV to NMP (23:34) but given it's £13.50 for a single i doubt i could take this train either?

That would be fine, if you want to stay up that late!
