does anybody know when when TfW and northern are planning to withdraw their fleets of 150s, as i haven't seen any of them and would like to do so before they go.

There are no current plans in the public domain to withdraw any Northern class 150s.

TfW 150s will start to go in the next two years as 197s, 398s and 756s arrive, but they could have a future elsewhere, although this thread should not be used to speculate where. By all accounts, 769s, 175s and some 153s go before the 150s do.

There are currently two TfW 150s, 150242 and 150279, out of use due to a fire last year https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/train-fire-at-craven-arms-on-the-evening-of-22-05-2022.232107/

I understand the long term rolling stock strategy recommended Sprinter withdrawal during the next control period (2024-2029) but with COVID and franchises being handed back, who knows what'll happen now.

Northern most certainly would like to procure new rolling stock for something or another

'Northern Trains Limited (“Northern”) is reviewing its requirements and strategy for the procurement of new rolling stock, with associated maintenance, servicing and related financing options.'
