The alternative Class 150 trains are currently in service with another operator, so we need to wait for them to be released.
This has to be the TfW ones right?
The sooner the 197s get running more the earlier the Marston Vale gets its trains then.

I'd guess TfW, but given that they have 2 150s on hire from Northern at the moment, it looks like they need all theirs for now.

Some interesting quotes in the FAQ on that page:

Reinstating the Class 230s is neither feasible or desirable, given their significant reliability issues. On average, three engines per week required changing due to reliability issues, necessitating a substantial workshop operation.

Ouch!

They do. However it may be possible for LNWR to have the 2 northern ones if 197s start on Wrexham Bidston and displace enough 150s back to the valleys. I won't speculate on what may happen though as the mods will be coming to get us!

The 231's will free up some on the Rhymney line, and the 197's in the north likewise. The Wrexham Bidston is still slated to have 230's and apparently training has restarted. So expect 150/1's.
