I’m intrigued by this Class 20 in LT livery. I didn’t know LT operated mainline stock (in which case has it been borrowed), or is this just ‘in honour’ of LT?

There has been an association with 20s permitted onto parts on the Underground network that are suitable for many years and indeed use of the class on stock moves onto the underground network so that ties in with it. I can't remember how long it's since it's been without one painted in those colours now but there's other members on here with greater knowledge who may be able to add to the story for you.

Thanks for that. Intriguing, then, that this was videoed at Hartford, slightly outside of London Transport’s area of operations….

Both 20145 and 20227 are owned by Michael Owen / Class 20189 Ltd and are currently in the care of the Class 20 Locomotive Society - further to that, both are currently in Metropolitan lined maroon. They have been hired by a number of different TOCs over the years, notably GBRf for various stock moves and LUL for events at the northern end of the Met Line, but are currently on hire to SLC Operations and have been working stock moves and driver training for them.

Michael Owen's other 20 - 20007 - has just been delivered to Eastleigh Works for a repaint from it's BR Green to an as yet unknown livery.

20227 is a Class 20 Loco Society machine.
