Class 221 and GPS

I travelled on a 221 out of Euston this morning. My phone having worked perfectly up to that point (it knew I was at Euston) as soon as I turned on my speedchecker to follow my progress, my phone decided not to operate any apps which used GPS e.g. maps, speedcheck . I restarted the phone without any change in the situation. Once I got off, all seemed to be well. Has anyone else had this experience or was my phone just having a wobbley? I used both my data and the trains to see if it made any difference.

It's the tint film on the windows which is metallic. It's good at blocking phone signal too, and I seem to recall in the days when people did that sort of thing using a pocket radio wasn't successful either.
