Hi everyone, on the wikipedia page for the Class 317 it says that two vehicles of one unit got a 'metro' style interior refurb in 2014. I haven't been able to find any photos of this prototype interior online however. Does anyone here have a photo?

Oh God that's awful. I've never seen that before.
I don't entirely agree, the colour palette is pleasant enough, and much better than the clashing orange and light blue the /7s had. No carpet but it's fresh and quite suitable for metro use, about the same time the carpets on the 365s were being replaced with lino as well, and they were proper regional units.

They did have the lovely comfy Chapman seats and carpets before though, but if they'd chosen to refit a /1 with knackered 2+3 seating it would have been a welcome change. 2+2 is always preferable in my opinion, even if they put in ironing boards. Plenty of seats identical to those are put on much much longer routes, such Kings Lynn to London. This unit here is on a Lea Valley Stratford - Bishops Stortford service so very much a secondary local service.

I would far prefer to spend time on that than a transverse 710, and it looks more spacious than the current GA 720s on that route.
