Hello,
Does anyone have details (or diagram book diagrams) for class 37/6 diagram(s)? In particular to fill in the following information:
Weight in Working Order:
Weight Empty:
Main Alternator:
Maximum Tractive Effort: @ % adhesion @ amps main alternator
Continuous Tractive Effort: @ m.p.h @ amps main alternator
Rail HP at Continuous Rating: hp available between and mph
I would assume it would be a Brush BA 1005A alternator and that the TE and HP details would be the same as class 37/0 locos (geared for 90 mph) but it would be good to confirm.
Again I assume these were air braked only with all vacuum brake equipment removed.
Were there different diagrams for the EPS locos with Tunnel Lights and for the DRS locos with the new lights? (Perhaps diagram 37-6a and 37-6b? ... on the subject of which is there even such a thing as a UK diagram book after the demise of British Rail?) If there were different diagrams, were they different in regard to any of the details above?
