Hi everyone,

I’m working for a company which has a small shunting loco, we’re having to change our fuel filler nozzle for the same as GBRfs class 66.

It has a course thread for the fuel hose to screw on to, I have no pictures as of yet but wondering if anybody has any idea of specs, where I could get one or even an email or contact to GBRf engineering?
Unfortunately management have threw it at our feet and are no help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, try googling 'Rail Flyte Coupler', I'm almost 100% certain that it's a standard fuel filler nozzle for all diesel classes on the former British Railways network.
I've refuelled Class 158's at Eastleigh depot in the past and that's where DB Cargo refuel their 66's.

Hi both,

Appreciate the information, the rail flyte coupler is the hose end which we’ll be using, I’m looking for the male valve end which connects to this.

Again passed on to management and until we find the correct end they have no interest.

PFA of the correct hose end.

That’s what you want. Get the modified one. I had untold issues with the old type.
