Just before the introduction of the new class 800/801/802s, I have a few questions.

1) Is the layout of the trains between GWR and VTEC going to be the same?

2) Will there be a buffet/shop

3) Have seating plans ever been published

4) Does anyone know what window size and seat alignment is like on the new units?

Thanks for any help in advance

1) No
2) On VTEC services. Almost certainly not on others.
3) Yes, have a bit of a google.
4) Have a google and read the complete thread already on it. Al in all, the windows look fairly large but due to the large number of airline seats they will have the usual seat window problems all modern trains have.

There is an IEP draft layout on the internet but neither the GWR or Virgin units are likely to be exactly as specified in those layouts, we know that the GWR units are specified to have less 1st class and more Standard Class than the IEP draft layout. We also know that the deal for GWR 802's is not part of the Dft deal so may be specified differently to the GWR 800's maybe even a Buffet?

Window alignment well off course thanks to the sliding doors you don't get any view out of the window in seats next to doors in true 156 fashion, impressive not.

It does seem more likely that the 802s could have a buffet, they will work longer routes in more remote places where passengers might not be expected to buy at the station.
