Currently employed in revenue but thinking of applying for a conductor job.
Colour vision normal.
Right eye vision good but wear glasses for driving.
I have a 'lazy' left eye and can only read the first 2 lines on a standard eye chart. This is not improved with glasses.
Would I fail the medical on eyesight?

More than likely yes. You need 6/9 with the better eye (20/30).

For the worse eye it's roughly the 5th line you need to see to which is 6/12 (20/40 - same as the UK car driving standard).

Train driving used to be the same but for any new drivers after October 2013 it's 6/6 (20/20) both eyes and worst eye can't be worse than 6/12 (20/40).
