Contract security on Elizabeth line?

Hello all. Over the past week, I’ve noticed contract security guards at my local stations as well as boarding and patrolling the trains on the Elizabeth line.

Is this a new practise? Is it in response to something?

For context I’m based at Acton Main Line.

Hello all. Over the past week, I’ve noticed contract security guards at my local stations as well as boarding and patrolling the trains on the Elizabeth line.

Is this a new practise? Is it in response to something?

For context I’m based at Acton Main Line.

There are new security staff out and about around the route. It’s mainly a response to the assault and sad death of the station member at Ilford.
