Does anyone know if any plans to bring Yeoford's second platform back into situ have been discussed? That said, possible connections from Okehampton to Barnstaple (and vice versa) aren't too great looking at the timetable - though I'd imagine this would be a relatively small market (initially anyway).

I'd suggest you would struggle to fill a minibus with that market, let alone a train. ;)

There are numerous contraints on the timing of this service - single line sections, the need to operate using minimal resources and needing to get paths across Cowley Bridge Jn and platforms in Exeter - and, unfortunately, you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs.

Realistically, the Okehampton and Barnstaple trains are always likely to be half an hour apart at Crediton, so thère would be no advantage in changing at Yeoford.

Yeoford has very narrow roads, primary school, and pub, but has potential land for a lot of houses within a mile radius of the station. There already some newish houses. I wonder who owns the land.
